Skin Boosters Maitland
Skin boosters are placed as microinjection, just inside the skin to make it look younger, healthier and well hydrated. They can be used on any part of the body, including face, neck, decolletage, elbows, knees and hands, where they can improve fine lines and skin hydration. The product is placed very superficially within the skin, and the treatment activates the cells called fibroblasts which in turn stimulates the formation of new collagen and elastin.
The procedure is able to be used for all skin types, including darker skin tones, and is excellent for skin hydration, and improving texture. The skin is strengthened and made more youthful and firm due to the stimulation of production of collagen and elastin.

Mechanism of action
Skinboosters can be injected very easily using a mesotherapy gun. The mesotherapy gun uses a multi needle system and suction. An anaesthetic cream is applied to the area for treatment for around 30 minutes before the procedure. This creates a good numbness on the face and makes the procedure quite comfortable. The skin is cleaned with an antiseptic solution and the skinbooster is injected as per patient’s concerns, either in full face or other body areas, or in a target area like the area under the eyes or cheeks or forehead. Patient’s can expect minimal discomfort and downtime (2-4 days)
This treatment has an immediate plumping effect, improving skin’s elasticity and hydration. We recommend 3 skin booster treatments 3-4 weeks apart in an area, and having a top up treatment 6 months after to maintain results.
