Dr Karwal (Ricky) is a General Practitioner with special interest in skin cancer management. He has 18 years of experience in General Practice and 10 years of experience in skin cancer treatment. 

Ricky has worked relentlessly across Australia as a GP and finally decided to settle in Hunter Valley, NSW. He became a Fellow of Royal College of General Practitioners in 2011.  

Ricky was drawn to the subspecialty area of skin cancer medicine when he learnt the growing prevalence and serious impact of skin cancers in Australians during his GP Practice. 

Ricky completed an exhaustive training in skin cancer medicine and surgery from Australian College of Cutaneous Oncology (ACCO). He obtained a Diploma in Advanced Skin Cancer Surgery from ACCO in 2016. He is currently an Associate Fellow of Australian College of Cutaneous Oncology.

He has been working extensively in the field of skin cancer management since 2013. Ricky has also worked as an assistant doctor in the branch of plastic surgery in the past which gives him an edge in Cosmetic aspect as well. 

Dr Karwal has completed advanced training in the use of Laser and Intense Pulsed Light for Cosmetic Practice. He has also completed advanced training in  the use of Botulinum Toxin type A and Dermal Fillers for Cosmetic Practice.

His passion towards skin cancer motivated him to open his own little venture with his wife (Dr Shalu Singh) who shares similar interests. 

Ricky migrated to Australia with family in 2010. Prior to coming to Australia Ricky completed his Undergraduate Medical Degree from prestigious Manipal University (India) in 2002. 

His discipline and commitment to patients comes from his training in Indian Army where he worked for 5 years and retired as a Major to pursue his career in Australia. 

On a personal note, Ricky is a father of two beautiful boys. He is fond of playing cricket and adventure activities. He also has an interest in Guitar trying to explore his creative side.

Dr Shalu Singh has 16 years of experience in the field of Medicine. She is an Undergraduate from the elite Armed Forces Medical College, India (2004). She migrated to Australia in 2010. Prior to coming to Australia Shalu served in the Indian Army for 7 years retiring as a Major. She soon became a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2012. 

During her practice as a GP she developed a keen interest in skin cancer. Shalu is trained in Dermoscopy and skin cancer management  from HealthCert. In these years of practice she has diligently upgraded her skills and sharpened her acumen. Besides her excellence in General Practice, she specialises in early diagnosis of skin cancer, skin biopsies and excisions. Her surgical skills are second to none. 

Shalu and her husband Dr Karwal decided to commit themselves exclusively to skin cancer and treatment by opening their own private clinic in Maitland. 

She is not only a mother to two energetic boys, but also pursuing her Masters in Forensic Medicine from Monash University, Melbourne. 

Her dynamism seems to continue since her University days when she was a Basketball Player for College and an appointment holder along with her many other interests.
